The 2025 NBA Draft has officially concluded, with Cooper Flagg — not surprisingly — going first overall to the Dallas Mavericks and Dylan Harper following at No. 2 to the San Antonio Spurs — two marquee names kicking off a dramatic and unpredictable first round.
Ace Bailey was selected fifth overall by the Utah Jazz — a destination that wasn’t widely expected, but one that could prove to be a strong fit. The New Orleans Pelicans made a bold move, trading assets to secure both Jeremiah Fears at No. 7 and Derik Queen at No. 13, forming a promising young duo. The biggest shock of the night came from the Portland Trail Blazers, who traded up to grab Yang Hansen in the first round — who many expected to be taken in the second round. Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets, holding five first-round selections, used all of them to spark a full-scale youth rebuild.
