Golden State’s Klay Thompson To Donate $1,000 Per Point For California Wildfire Relief Efforts

He may be the quietest player on the team, but Golden State’s Klay Thompson is making his voice heard with a video he posted on his Twitter account Friday afternoon.

In the video, the three-time NBA All-Star announced that he will donating $1,000 for every point he scores during the Warriors’ next three home games to the Redwood Credit Union’s wildfire relief fund. You can join Thompson but donating at pledgeit.org/klay.

“Let’s stick together, because loved ones and families have been displaced and lost from these terrible events,” Thompson said in the video. “Property has been damaged, but we can build this thing back up if we stick together and donate.”

The North Bay fire was on of the biggest fires in recent history as it torched 240,000 acres, killed 42 people, and caused billions of dollars in damage.

After scoring a career-high 60 points in just 29 minutes last year, let’s hope the sharpshooter can put together another impressive showing over the next couple of games to raise money for those in need.
