It was a record-setting performance Saturday night in the Alamodome.
Top-seeded Villanova made a Final Four-record 18 3-pointers Saturday night and also became the most prolific 3-point shooting team in college-hoops history as the Wildcats used a blistering shooting performance to take down No. 1 Kansas, 95-79.
Eric Paschall led the way for the Wildcats, going 4-for-5 from 3-point range, 10-of-11 overall, as the junior forward finished with a career-high 24 points.
Every Villanova shot seemed to go in as seven Wildcat playes made at least one shot from downtown. For the game, Villanova shot 45 percent from behind the arc and 55 percent for the game.

Player of the Year Jalen Brunson made three 3-pointers and finished with 18 points. Omari Spellman chipped in with three 3-pointers as he finsihed with a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Just one minute into the second half, Paschall drained a 3-pointer for Villanova’s 14th of the game, breaking a Final Four record first set by UNLV in 1987.

Earlier in the first half, Villanova’s Collin Gillespie knocked down a shot from downtown for Villanova’s sixth of the game, which gave it the NCAA record for 3-pointers in a single-season (442).
The Jayhawks were back in San Antonio and looking to make some more memories as 2018 marked the 10-year anniversary of winning their last title in Texas. Unfortunately for Jayhawk fans, the game was never close.
