Bandwagon Fans: The Dallas Cowboys are now accepting applications

With the rise of its young star players (Ezekiel Elliott, Dak Prescott and Dez Bryant), the Dallas Cowboys finished the regular season at 13-3, and finished as the top team in the NFC.

And with that 13th regular season win, the top-seeded Cowboys also tied a franchise record. This week they take on the Green Bay Packers Sunday for the right to play in the NFC Championship game.

But with all the success this season, it’s also led to a number of bandwagon fans. So that’s why the Cowboys’ Twitter account got creative when it posted an “official” bandwagon fan application with the message, “Thanks for your inquiry about the Dallas Cowboys’ bandwagon. Spots are filling up fast, don’t miss out!

As you can see, it wasn’t just an ordinary form as the Cowboys wanted to make sure their “new” fans were well qualified.

The “rigorous” form asks fan about past cheering experiences as well as ties to any potential rivals before they are accepted.

On the bright side, bandwagon fans should know that they must reapply at the start of next season to become Cowboy fans again. So really, what do you really have to lose?

Of course, the Twitter post went viral as fans filled out the form and then tweeted it right back at the Cowboys. Here are some of the best reactions so far.
