Big plays and a miraculous fourth quarter helped Penn State knock off No. 2 Ohio State at home.
Looking to extend its four-point lead with just under five minutes left in the game, Ohio State’s 45-yard field goal attempt was blocked and Penn State’s Grant Haley took it to the house for the go-ahead and game-winning touchdown.
“It’s something you dream about as a kid,” Haley told reporters after the game. “Just running to the end zone and falling, it was a huge sigh of relief, like, everything, all the hard work this team’s put in coming into play against the No. 2 team in the country.”

Ohio State had a chance to tie the game, but the Nittany Lions sacked J.T. Barrett twice on the Buckeyes’ final possession to set several milestones for Penn State.
It was the Nittany Lions’ first win over a ranked team under head coach James Franklin and first against a Top 2 team since 1990 when they took down No. 1 Notre Dame. It was also the program’s first Top 2 win since 1964 when unranked.
