They’re baaack.

No. 1 Alabama used a dominating defensive performance to beat No. 4 Washington, 24-7 in the Peach Bowl Saturday afternoon.

With the win, the Crimson Tide are headed back to the national championship game.

Running back Bo Scarbrough had a day to remember as he ran for 180 yards and two touchdowns to break a school bowl record. Scarbrough earned offensive MVP honors for his impressive performance.

One of the keys to the game for Washington was not allowing Alabama’s stingy defense to get a defensive score.

But that didn’t happen.

With linebacker Reuben Foster blitzing, defensive end Ryan Anderson dropped into to coverage and stepped right into a pass for an easy pick-6. Anderson shoved a Husky player down in the process after making the catch and then walked his way into the end zone to put the Crimson Tide up 17-7 at the half.

It was the 11th defensive touchdown of the season and 15th non-offensive touchdown this year for the Crimson Tide.

With the win, top-ranked Alabama will play No. 2 Clemson in the championship game after the Tigers shutout No. 3 Ohio State 31-0.

Rematch: Last year, Alabama outlasted Clemson 45-40 in the title game and it looks like another classic game will be played between both schools. Two years ago, the Crimson Tide were upset by Ohio State 42-35 in the semifinals with the Buckeyes going on to win the title that year.
