As we wrote about earlier this month, Dwight Howard pranked his mom by telling her that he was going to sign with the Utah Jazz during the free agency period this past summer.
The eight-time All-Star ended up signing a three-year, $70.5 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks — his hometown team — but Jazz fans got the last laugh after Howard poked fun at the Utah franchise.
Led by Gordon Hayward’s game-high 24 points, the Jazz coasted to an easy 95-68 victory over Atlanta at home. George Hill chipped in 23 points and Rudy Gobert added a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks.
Howard had arguably his worst game of the season as was held to just four points on 2 of 9 shooting as Gobert gave him an extra side of stuffing.

Dennis Schroder scored a team-high 16 for the Hawks (10-6) who have now lost four of its past five games after starting the season at 9-2. Former Jazzman Paul Millsap added 11 points in the loss.
The Hawks’ 68 points were the fewest the Jazz have allowed this season and are also the fewest the Hawks have scored all season (92). It was also the second-lowest total in the NBA this season.
