Yes, it was that kind of game for the Utah Jazz.

With 2.1 seconds left in the third quarter, Joe Johnson took the ball and raced up court. With the clock winding down, Johnson double-clutched before heaving a 70-foot shot at the buzzer against the Detroit Pistons.

Swish. Nothing but the bottom of the net.

Here is another angle of the incredible shot by Johnson in Utah’s 110-77 victory.

Utah was led by guard Rodney Hood who scored a season-high 27 points. Hood nearly had a perfect game as he was 10-of-14 from the field and 7-of-8 from 3-point range. After being stuck in a shooting slump the last few games, Hood had a breakout performance and looked like his old self again.

George Hill finished with 22 points and had four rebounds while Gordon Hayward added 20 points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals in the win.

Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy wasn’t too pleased with his team’s effort on Friday.

“We couldn’t score and they scored every time they got it. “We can’t stop anybody, we just can’t,” he said. “For the first 21 games we were the second-best defensive team in the league and now we are one of the worst. I am frustrated not with our players, I am frustrated with myself that I can’t figure this out. We literally can’t stop anyone ever.”

The good news continued for Jazz fans as the team not only got the win, but it also gave fans some free McNuggets as well as a 50 percent discount at Papa Johns.
