Memphis Grizzlies make history in stunning come-from-behind overtime win at Golden State

Forget about the 3-1 NBA Finals blown lead, opposing fans now have a new catchphrase for the Golden State Warriors after the franchise blew a 19-point lead at home to the Memphis Grizzlies in a 128-119 overtime loss.

The 19-point fourth quarter deficit was the second-biggest fourth-quarter collapse in NBA History as Memphis erupted for 32 points and held Golden State to just 13 to send the game into overtime.

Mike Conley — who signed a $153 million max contract in the offseason to remain with the Grizzlies — came up big as the point guard not only scored 27 points in the win, but hit a game-tying shot with just under 10 seconds to go to send the game into extra time.

Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant had huge games, but an awful fourth quarter doomed the Warriors with turnovers and players standing around on offense. Curry had 40 points and hit a game-high five 3-pointers in the loss. Durant chipped in with 27 points, 13 rebounds and four assists and three blocks.

After forcing overtime, the Grizzlies run continued as Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph each made a pair of baskets as Memphis hit their first five shots in overtime to snap Golden State’s nine-game home winning streak.

With the win, Memphis broke the streak of 662 consecutive games when teams had a 19-point lead heading into the fourth quarter.
