Green Bay scored two touchdowns — capped off by a Hail Mary — in the final two minutes of the second quarter to take a 14-6 lead into halftime of the NFC wild-card game.

The Packers offense picked up where it had left off as Green Bay scored 24 points in the second half to cruise to a 38-13 victory over the New York Giants at Lambeau Field.

Aaron Rodgers, who some say should win the NFL’s Most Valuable Player this year, showed why as the 12th year veteran threw for 362 yards, four touchdowns and didn’t throw an interception despite the cold conditions.

Rodgers’ longest pass of the night came on a momentum-swinging 42-yard Hail Mary pass to Randall Cobb who stood at the back of the end zone. With seven guys jumping up for the ball, Cobb simply sat back in the end zone and caught a perfectly thrown ball for one of his three touchdown receptions on the night.

This wasn’t the first time that Rodgers has thrown a Hail Mary. The future Hall of Famer has a knack for big plays and has remarkably thrown three Hail Mary’s over the past two years.

With the win, the Packers will move on to face the Dallas Cowboys in the divisional round next Sunday. The two teams played just once this year with the Cowboys coming away with a 30-16 road win.

Of all the divisional round games, four contests will feature four rematches from the regular season for the first time in six years.
