Stop me if you’ve heard this before. The Utes dominated from start to finish as No. 8 Utah took care of business on national television with a 49-3 victory over UCLA in front of a sold-out crowd at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

It was the largest margin of victory for Utah in a Pac-12 game. as the Utes beat the Bruins for a fourth straight season.

Utah totaled more than 500 yards of offense behind senior quarterback Tyler Huntley as well as senior running back Zack Moss. Huntley completed 14-of-18 passes for a season-high 335 yards and two touchdowns. The senior did not throw an interception and most impressively, has only thrown one on the entire year.

His favorite target of the night was Brant Kuithe had a career-high 132 yards and a touchdown on five catches.

Moss was running all over the UCLA defense as he ran for 127 yards on 17 carriers to go with two touchdowns. Moss also hauled in four catches for 73 yards to bring his all-purpose yards for the day at 200. With his performance, Moss moved into second-place for career all-purpose yardage at Utah.

Just went you think Utah’s defense couldn’t get any better the Utes forced five turnovers as well as five sacks.

UCLA had the ball in the red zone four times, yet, turned the ball over three times. One of those turnovers cost them points as Utah defensive lineman Mika Tafua returned a fumble 68 yards for a touchdown for the scoop-and-score to give the Utes a 21-3 lead.

“We certainly won the rushing battle and controlled both sides of the line of scrimmage,” Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said after the game.

Julian Blackmon had another great game on defense as the senior had 12 tackles, 1.5 sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble.

“Julian is in the right spot,” Whittingham said. “He made that transition from corner to safety flawlessly. He’s drawing attention from the scouts and he’s going to have a chance to continue to play at that spot.”

Bradlee Anae finished with two sacks to move him into second-place all-time at Utah with 27. The senior needs just three more sacks became the all-time leader with Hunter Dimick holding the top spot at the moment with 29.5 sacks.
