Give that man the MVP already.

Russell “triple-double” Westbrook made NBA history Sunday night with a performance he’ll remember for the rest of his life.

Westbrook not only helped erase a 10-point deficit to knock the Denver Nuggets out of playoff contention, but the All-Star point guard also recorded his 42nd triple-double to pass Oscar Robertson’s record for most in an NBA season.

And for the cherry on top, Westbrook hit an incredible game-winning 3-pointer to end the game to beat the Nuggets, 106-105, in dramatic fashion. Westbrook finished the night with 50 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists and scored 18 of Oklahoma City’s final 21 points to secure the win.

Here’s how the sports world reacted to Westbrook’s NBA record-setting season.

If that didn’t seal the deal for Westbrook to win MVP honors that I don’t know what will.
