Gordon Hayward met with the Miami Heat on Saturday, visited Boston on Sunday and just recently completed close to a four-hour meeting with the Jazz organization on Monday in his home in San Diego.
The All-Star player has been the most coveted free agent this summer and has had fans on the edge of the seats after the NBA’s free agent signing period began on Saturday.
The Jazz were a Top 10 team in the league last year, but if Hayward leaves, the franchise will suffer a serious setback after making the playoffs for the first time in the last five years.
On top of that, the 6-foot-8 swingman will show where the Jazz stand with regards to ever contending for an NBA championship. If he does leave, Hayward’s decision will show that no matter what fans did and no matter how much money the Jazz had, they’ll never be able to hold onto a star player in today’s NBA world.
