There is nothing like winning the Home Run Derby.
Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper put on a show in front of his team’s fans to win the 2018 Home Run Derby in epic fashion. The 25 year-old right-fielder clinched the win over Kyle Schwarber of the Chicago Cubs in walk-off fashion.
And for the icing on the cake, Harper not only did so in front of the home crowd, but did so with his pitching to him.

“It’s unbelievable,” Harper told reporters afterwards. “We have some of the best fans in baseball, and to be able to do that with my family out there, that’s an incredible moment — not only for me, but for the organization and Nationals fans. I’m very blessed and humbled.”
Down 18-9 in the final round, Harper began a furious comeback as he hit nine home runs over the next 10 pitches to tie it up at the end of regulation. Then, in bonus time, Harper knocked the ball out of the park as his teammates celebrated before handing him the trophy.
