The Los Angeles Dodgers have etched their name in baseball history once again. In Game 7 of the World Series, the Dodgers stormed back on the road to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays, 5–4 in 11 electrifying innings, capturing their second straight World Series title.
Before a stunned crowd at Rogers Centre, Will Smith delivered the decisive blow — a no-doubt solo homer in the top of the 11th that silenced the Blue Jays faithful and sent the Dodger dugout into a frenzy. Moments later, when the final out nestled into Andy Pages’ glove, the Dodgers had pulled off one of the most dramatic comebacks in franchise history.
For much of the night, though, it looked like Toronto’s championship drought was about to end. Bo Bichette’s thunderous three-run blast off Shohei Ohtani in the third inning gave the Jays a commanding early lead and had the home crowd shaking the stadium.
But these Dodgers don’t fold. They chipped away — Tommy Edman and Teoscar Hernández drove in runs to cut the deficit, and Max Muncy launched a towering solo shot in the eighth to make it 4–3 and keep the pressure on.
Then came the moment that flipped the script. Down to their final outs in the ninth, Miguel Rojas turned on a fastball and sent it screaming over the left-field wall, tying the game and stunning Toronto. Suddenly, the Dodgers had life.

From there, the L.A. bullpen took over. Blake Snell and Yoshinobu Yamamoto combined for three shutout innings, escaping jam after jam — including a tense ninth when Toronto loaded the bases before Pages made a heart-stopping catch on the warning track, colliding with Kiké Hernández to end the threat.
Ohtani, though shaky on the mound (2⅓ innings, 3 runs, 5 hits), helped his cause at the plate with a 2-for-5 night and a walk, part of a gritty offensive performance that kept Los Angeles within striking distance.
When Smith’s blast cleared the wall in the 11th, it felt inevitable. The Dodgers — battle-tested, relentless, and unshakable — had completed the comeback.
With the win, Los Angeles becomes the first team to repeat as World Series champions since the 2000 Yankees, solidifying their dynasty and delivering yet another Hollywood ending.
And for Dodgers fans, this one will be remembered not just as another title — but as a comeback for the ages.
