LSU went on the road and picked up a huge victory Saturday night as the sixth-ranked Tigers took down No. 9 Texas, 45-38.
LSU quarterback Joe Burrow had himself a game against the Longhorns as the senior completed 31 of 39 passes for 471 yards and four touchdowns.
Of course, he had to be as Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger matched his performance as the dual-threat quarterback accounted for five touchdowns and nearly 500 yards of total offense in the loss.
With just over two minutes left in the game, Burrow put the game out of reach as he found Justin Jefferson for a 61-yard touchdown to push the Tiger lead to 45-31.
“Man, he was so fired up,” LSU coach Ed Orgeron said about Burrow. “The kid is a baller! He lives for that moment and I’ll tell you what, those were some tough plays.”
