The Oregon Ducks are Rose Bowl Champions!
Senior quarterback Justin Herbert capped off his four-year career at Oregon by rushing for three touchdowns and Brady Breeze returned one of two fumbles he helped create for a touchdown as the sixth-ranked Ducks rallied for a thrilling 28-27 victory over No. 8 Wisconsin in the 106th Rose Bowl.
It was Oregon’s third straight win in the “Granddaddy of Them All” and Wisconsin’s fourth consecutive loss over the past decade in the Rose Bowl.
The win capped off a remarkable turnaround for the Ducks who had just a four-win season in 2016 and just a seven-win season in 2017.

On Wednesday night, Herbert and the other seniors celebrated a Rose Bowl championship with their teammates, capping one of the all-time great seasons in the history of the program.
“It was all worth it,” Herbert said after the game. “We’re Pac-12 champs, Rose Bowl champs. I’m just proud of our entire team.”
Herbert passed for just 138 yards and didn’t throw a single touchdown, however, the likely first round pick showed off his legs as he rushed for three scores, including a 30-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback.
The Ducks, which managed just 204 yards of total offense — the fewest by any Rose Bowl team in 40 years — still managed to win thanks to plays on defense and special teams. The game featured six lead changes in what was another classic Rose Bowl game.
