Celtics Wins As 76ers Blow 22-Point Lead, Twitter Hilariously Reacts As Ben Simmons Scores Just 1 Point

Celtics-76ers

Charles Barkley was wrong again.

After he guaranteed the Philadelphia 76ers would win Game 2 on the road, the Boston Celtics had other plans in front of 18,624 screaming fans at TD Garden Arena.

After going down by as many as 22 points, the Celtics put on a comeback for the ages as they rallied to take down the 76ers, 108-103, to take a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Ben Simmons, who has proclaimed himself to be the Rookie of The Year despite being drafted in 2016 and sitting out the 2017 season, had his worst game of his NBA career.

The former No. 1 pick scored a career-low with one point in Thursday’s loss. Simmons missed all of his field goal attempts and also had five turnovers in the game.

With the likes of Utah’s Donovan Mitchell and Boston’s Jason Tatum, there really is no clear choice on who will be the Rookie of the Year this season. However, after Thursday’s performance, there is no doubt that Simmons has slipped and fans could not be happier.
