Well, that’s one way to do it.

Cincinnati Reds second baseman player Scooter Gennett had himself a game to remember against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Gennett, who ended a 0-for-19 slump on Monday with a game-winning two-run double, followed it up Tuesday night with four home runs and set a franchise record in the process.

The five-year veteran had the perfect game going 5-for-5 with four home runs and 10 RBI in the Reds’ 13-1 win over the Cardinals. Gennett became the first Cincinnati player to hit four home runs in a game and was the first to hit four dingers against the Cardinals in one game.

Coming into the game, Gennett was probably the least likely player to do so after having hit only 38 home runs in his MLB career. The second baseman had only three home runs this year before erupting with four homers in one game.

In total, 16 other players have had four home runs games, by Gennett is just one of two players to have hit a grand slam as part of the crazy night.

Below is a list of the 16 other players in big league history to record a four-homer game:

Josh Hamilton, Texas, (2012)
Carlos Delgado, Toronto, (2003)
