BYU delivered on Senior Day as the Cougars rolled to a 59-14 home victory over Idaho State.
The Cougars took a 21-0 lead after the opening quarter, via touchdown runs from running back Tyler Allgeier and quarterback Jaren Hall. Hall also threw a touchdown pass to Lopini Katoa.
The lead continued to grow in the second quarter, as Hall threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Keanu Hill and a 23-yard strike to Puka Nakua for a 35-0 lead.

Idaho State finally got on the board in the second quarter thanks to a fumble recovery deep inside BYU territory. The Cougars came right back with a touchdown as Hall found Neil Pau’u for a 13-yard scoring strike with less than 20 seconds to go in the fist half for a 42-7 advantage.
The teams traded touchdowns in the third quarter, while BYU added the final points via a field goal and a blocked punt returned for a touchdown to seal the 45-point victory.

Jaren Hall led the Cougars’ offensive attack, completing 20-of-25 passes for 298 yards and four touchdowns. The team rushed for 173 yards, with eight different players registering a carry.
On defense, BYU forced a pair of interceptions on defense while adding a punt return for a touchdown.
Moving On Up
With the win, the Cougars improve to 8-2. The victory also saw them rise in the latest AP Top 25 poll, moving up three spots to No. 14. Currently ranked 15th in the College Football Playoff rankings, BYU will find out Tuesday night if they will move up in the rankings following the win.

The Cougars have a bye week next. They will return to action on Saturday, November 20, when they head out on the road to face Georgia Southern. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. MT, while the TV channel has yet to be determined.
