It was a game to remember between No. 13 BYU and Oklahoma State.

After the Cowboys scored what appeared to be the go-ahead touchdown with just 1:13 left in the game, the Cougars answered right back as Jake Retzlaff drove the Cougars down the field for the game-winning touchdown with just 10 seconds to go in the game to keep BYU’s perfect season alive (7-0, 4-0).

Retzlaff’s final pass went to Lassiter who caught the ball at the 15-yard line. Using his speed, Lassiter beat his man and then followed it up with a nasty juke — nearly breaking the Cowboys defenders ankle — and then jumped into the end zone as another Oklahoma State defender tried a shoe-string tackle at the goal line.

LaVell Edwards Stadium went absolutely nuts as it not only kept BYU’s undefeated season alive, but also the Cougars Big 12 title and college football playoff hopes too.

“It’s magical. It’s a spiritual experience,” Retzlaff said after the game. “Those plays don’t happen by accident. We were doing that stuff in our walk through this morning. We were running through those plays, and we ran almost all of the plays we run through in those situations and the guys did it really well.”

Retzlaff was key on the final possession as he found Chase Roberts for 8 yards on 4th-and-7 to keep the drive alive. The dual-threat quarterback then ran for 27 yards to setup the game-winning pass to Lassiter.
