There was no last-second score needed this time.
Taysom Hill completed 15 of 25 passes for 130 yards and added 75 yards on the ground to go with a score to lead BYU (5-4) to an impressive 20-3 victory over Cincinnati (4-5) at Nippert Stadium. The Cougars didn’t allow a single touchdown in the game for the first time since a 64-0 win over Savannah State in 2014.
While the game wasn’t flashy by any means a win is a win for BYU head coach Kalani Sitake.
“Some people said it wasn’t all that exciting,” he told reporters after the game. “But that’s my kind of excitement. I’ll take the win any way we can get it.”
Here is a look back at all the top moments from Saturday’s game.
1) BYU fans show up in numbers to show off their tailgating skills. And yes, there was plenty of partying going on (i.e bounce houses).

2) After a very slow start, BYU’s flea-flicker in the second quarter jump started the offense as Hill found Jonah Trinnaman for a big gain. Hill (9,002 yards) now has just 205 yards to pass Steve Young for 5th in career total offense at BYU.

3) Jamaal Williams continues to set records as he recently became just the 4th player (Harvey Unga, Curtis Brown and Jamal Willis) in program history to have multiple 1,000 yard rushing seasons. Williams, also holds the record for most career rushing yards.
