Thomas Rawls rushed for a franchise playoff-record 161 yards to lead the Seattle Seahawks to a 26-6 victory Saturday night in the NFC wild-card game.
Rawls topped the previous record which was set by Marshawn Lynch who had 157 yards against Green Bay in the 2014 NFC championship game.
With the win, Seattle has now won 10 consecutive home playoff games and extended Detroit’s postseason troubles. With the loss, the Lions still haven’t won a road playoff game since 1957. The last playoff win came at home back in 1992.
Former Colorado receiver Paul Richardson made several great one-handed catches as the three-year veteran scored his first career postseason touchdown to give Seattle a 7-0 lead in the second quarter.

With a defensive back Tavon Wilson all over him, Richardson still managed to get under and secure the ball as he fell to the ground. Wilson was flagged for pass interference, but Richardson should have been flagged on the play as well as he had his right hand all over Wilson’s facemask.
Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson finished the night completing 23 of 30 passes for 224 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions.
Up next for the Seahawks is a showdown against the second-seeded Atlanta Falcons next Saturday. Seattle beat Atlanta, 26-24, in the only regular-season matchup between both teams.
