Maybe Aaron Rodgers should win the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award.

The 12th year veteran threw for 356 yards and two touchdowns and led the Green Bay Packers to a wild 34-31 road victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

The gunslinger didn’t need a Hail Mary to win the game this time, but he did get a “Half Mary” as he hit Jared Cook down the sideline for a 36-yard gain to set up the game-winning kick.

With three seconds left in the game, kicker Mason Crosby trotted out onto the field. The 10th year veteran already had made one from 56 yards earlier that day and stepped up and drilled the 51-yarder to give the Packers their eighth consecutive win and another trip to the NFC championship game.

“It’s kind of a blur right now,” Crosby told reporters afterward. “When we have 35 seconds on the clock and that our offense can move the ball into field goal range and a manageable kick, that’s just special.”

The loss gave the top-seeded Cowboys its fifth straight loss in the divisional round and a 21-year drought in trips to the NFC championship game.

Next up for Green Bay is the NFC Championship game against the Atlanta Falcons. The matchup will put two of the top quarterbacks (Matt Ryan against Rodgers) against each other in what will likely determine who will win the NFL’s MVP award this season.
