The wait is over.

BYU is officially a member of the Big 12 conference.

The Cougars joined UCF, Cincinnati and Houston as the newest members of the revamped conference.

After accepting an invitation to join the Big 12 on September 10, 2021, the Cougars followed it up the next day by beating Utah in what was one of the most memorable weeks in Cougar history. Now you can add July 1, 2023 to that list, as the program is now officially a member of a Power 5 conference.

After leaving Independence for the Big 12, Saturday marks the sixth different conference for the Cougars in its 100+ year history.

Leading up to the celebration on Saturday, Utah governor Spencer Cox declared July 1 as “BYU Big 12 Conference Day.”

Here’s a look at all the reactions to BYU being a member of the Big 12, as well as greetings from many teams from around the conference.
