The streak continues!

Led by senior running back Zack Moss, the 14th-ranked Utes went on the road and took down BYU, 30-12, in front of 64,045 fans at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

The 5-foot-10, 225 pound running back had a game-high 187 yards rushing to go with a touchdown to lead the Utes (1-0) to their ninth consecutive victory in the 100th game of the Holy War rivalry. Moss finished the game averaging 6.4 yards on 29 carries.

In the win, Moss passed Devontae Booker on the all time Utah rushing list. Moss currently has 2832 yards and is just 163 yards behind Tony Lindsay and 387 yards behind Eddie Johnson for the top spot.

BYU quarterback Zach Wilson threw for 208 yards and ran for 43 yards on the ground, however, the sophomore threw two costly interceptions, which were both returned for touchdowns. The Cougars finished with three turnovers on the night, while Utah did not have any.

As the last seconds ticked off the clock, Utah fans chanted, “Nine in a row! Nine in a row!”
