It was one of the best catches in Super Bowl history.
With less than 3 minutes to go in the game, New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman somehow caught the ball between three Atlanta Falcons’ players to help set up a game-tying touchdown. The Patriots went on to win the game 34-28 in overtime.
If you were like most of us, your initial reaction was that it was an interception.
But Edelman knew the ball never hit the turf.
“I caught it! I caught it! I caught it!” said Edelman, an eight-year veteran.
Now fans can relive that memorable moment — or dark day if you are a Falcons fan thanks to footage that has been released by Showtime’s Inside the NFL.

“No way. No way,” said Falcons defensive back Brian Poole as he pointed up to the big screen during one of the replays.
Indeed he did.
Edelman finished the game with five catches for 87 yards in one of the greatest Super Bowl games in NFL history.
