Surprise, surprise, No. 1 Alabama is adding another trophy to its collection after beating another Top 25 team.
The Tide crushed No. 15 Florida, 54-16, to keep its perfect record intact and win yet another Southeastern Conference championship.
You knew it was Alabama’s day when Florida held the Crimson Tide to minus seven yards on offense near the end of the first quarter, and yet Alabama still found a way to take a 16-9 lead going into the second quarter.

That’s because Alabama relied on its defense once again to put up points. The Tide returned an interception and a blocked punt for a touchdown before racking up 372 yards of total offense in route to a blowout victory. The defensive touchdowns gave the Tide 11 defensive touchdown’s and as a team has given up just 13 offensive touchdowns all year.
With the win, Alabama is headed back to the College Football Playoff for the third year in a row and looks to win its second straight national title and fifth in the last nine years. Alabama head coach Nick Saban has already won five national titles (one with LSU), and is just one championship shy of tying Bear Bryant’s record.
